- Day 4 – Gisela Train and Kitzbühel (included). Visiting the lakeside resort of Zell am See, we then board the Gisela Train and take a nostalgic rail journey through the mountains to Kitzbühel. Many fine regal buildings adorn the city, including the famous Golden Roof and the Hofburg Palace. We also see the Berg Isel Olympic ski jump, from where there are wonderful views overlooking the city and the Karwendel mountains. Later, we travel over the Brenner Pass to the medieval village of Vipiteno in the Italian Süd Tirol. Enjoy time at leisure to explore and shop for bargains, including wine and leather goods. B,D
- Day 6 – St. Wolfgang and the Schafberg Railway (optional). Austria's lake district is breathtaking and today we visit St. Gilgen, where you can stroll along the lakeside, explore the shops or relax in one of the cafés. We then cruise to St. Wolfgang, where we board the cog railway and ascend the Schafberg Mountain for some spectacular photographic opportunities! B,D
